Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival

The Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival will definitely make you excited. This is an annual 4-day event andthe biggest and longest-running aviation sports event in the Philippines. This is held between January and February at the Pampanga’s Clark Freeport Zone. The event highlights multicolored hot air balloons with more than a hundred balloon pilots from around the world which would definitely be a sight you couldn’t miss. Aside from these multicolored hot air balloons, there are also skydiving, flag jumps, microlight and rocketry demonstrations, small plane fly-bys and fly-ins, remote-control airplane and helicopter flying exhibitions, freestyle aerobatics, precision maneuvers, light airplane balloon bursting, ultra-light flying formation and flour bomb dropping, kite-making and choreographed kite-flying, and so much more.

          This event has expected a more a hundred thousand of visitors including local people and tourists from around the world. And if you’re one of them, you definitely cannot forget your camera. With all the eye-catching colors flying in the air, it is definitely a magnificent sight to behold. Aside from watching these hot air balloons of all shapes, sizes, and designs fly through the skies, people can also participate in a variety of fun activities like tandem paragliding and riding in a helicopter. However, the event would not definitely be for free as you have to pay for a ticket which ranges from 500.00 to 6,500.00 per head for a day. Nonetheless, it is definitely worth it.

            Moreover, if you have acrophobia, you could still enjoy the event by watching paragliding performances, stunts, helicopter maneuvers, radio-controlled aircraft, and fireworks display. You could also bring picnic mats and food to further enjoy the event while having a comfortable and leisure atmosphere. It is also encouraged to dress up in light clothing together with your hats and sunglasses.
