Baguio City

Going to a cold and quiet place in the country may be impossible for some people, but actually, it’s farther from the truth. Somewhere in the mountainous area of Northern Luzon, Philippines, is a city so magnificent and relaxing that you’ll want to head there when you want to stay somewhere cold, since the Philippines is a country with tropical climate.

That’s where the Summer Capital of the Philippines, Baguio City comes in. With pine trees, orchids, and mossy plants, it’s not just a haven for people who want to stay somewhere chilly, but it’s also a place for nature lovers. Not only will you get to enjoy the scenic view of the city, but also appreciate how well they preserve their city.

One can immerse themselves in places where even the locals frequent, whether it be the museums or the parks. The culinary scene is just as equally splendid as the city itself. Baguio City boasts a wide range of restaurants and eateries that will satisfy your craving. From the bulalo steak down to the popular strawberry shortcake they serve with careful hands and love. You’ll love the culinary journey that is Baguio City.

When it comes to tourist spots in Baguio, their museums are one of the top things you should put on your list, as they’re rich in culture and history, evidently seen by the number of museums they have. From learning about the indigenous people of the Cordilleras, to enjoying the dioramas and exhibits documenting the growth and changes that Baguio underwent.

As someone who enjoys the scenic view and tranquility of the environment, this part has got to be my favorite, because it’s all about Baguio’s parks! Now, you may have heard of Burnham Park and say it’s overrated, but it’s actually not. It’s a popular destination for locals and tourists because not only do you get to enjoy the outdoor activities like boating and biking, but you can also just have a picnic and enjoy everything that’s going on around you. Sometimes, it’s all about that!
